Mail Ballot Info
For the 2009 Election a ballot will be mailed to all eligible registered voters in Jefferson County. The mail ballots will be sent out between October 13th through October 16th and will be mailed to the current mailing address on file with the Elections Division. Included in your packet you will find the following items:
Follow the instructions printed on the ballot and the secrecy sleeve.

Use a black pen to completely fill in the oval next to your selection on the ballot

Fold the ballot as you received it with the stub exposed

Place the ballot into your secrecy sleeve

Place the secrecy sleeve (with the ballot enclosed) into the Official Return Envelope

Complete the affirmation on the back of the envelope

Seal the Official Return Envelope
You may drop your ballot off at any of our locations or apply adequate postage to the Official Return Envelope and place it in the mail. In order for your ballot to be counted, it must be in the possession of the Elections Division by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
