The construction around the Jefferson County Government Center still continues, but is coming to an end. Construction crews plan to grind off a thin lift of asphalt pavement on the old section of Jefferson County Parkway on the morning of Friday, August 14, and on Saturday, August 15, crews plan to complete the final paving required on both Jefferson County Parkway and the new Courthouse Drive.
August 14:
- The milling work will be done in both lane directions, between the Ballot Drop Off entrance and the Roundabout.
- Underground parking will still be available in the north parking structure, however expect some delays getting through the work zone as flaggers will have only one lane open to through traffic at times.
August 15:
- Crews will shut down Jefferson County Parkway east of Weimer Street to the south side of the Roundabout for the paving operations.
- Parking will still be available on top levels of the parking structures
