The Planning Commission will have a second reading of the draft plan at their meeting today, October 7 at 5:00 p.m. at the Jefferson County Administration and Courts Facility, Hearing Room One. No action will be taken on the draft plan at this hearing.

A second reading is a presentation of the revised draft plan to the Planning Commission by staff. The Planning Commission has the opportunity to make comments and direct staff to conduct additional analysis or add/enhance the objectives and strategies. Public testimony will be taken. Future meetings with opportunities for public comment and/or public testimony are anticipated.

The Planning & Zoning division has also scheduled several open houses to allow more citizens to receive the information. The same information will be presented at each. All meetings are from 4:30 - 7:00 pm.
